Registered Education Savings Plan

A Registered Education Savings Plan (RESP) is a tax-deferred investment account that’s set up to pay some or all of the costs of the beneficiary’s post-secondary education. Money is invested and allowed to grow, tax-free, until the beneficiary withdraws it. The contributions to an RESP aren’t tax-deductible, but you can take advantage of government grants of 20% to 40% on every contribution. New lifetime saving grants of $500 are available for new plans (note: you must be receiving child tax credits to qualify). Call or email Feller Financial group for more information at no cost to you.
